Adding an Image item

When you add an image to your portal, the page expands to accommodate the size of the image. For this reason, choose your images with care. Images that are too large can distort the appearance of your page and make it difficult to read the other information presented there.

To add an image to your portal:

  1. Navigate to the page on which you want to place an image.
  2. If you are not already in edit mode, click the Edit Mode handle bar (Edit Mode handle bar).
  3. Click New Item, then select Image Item. A placeholder is added to the page:

  4. Click the default image (the palm tree) to access the file system dialog, from which you can navigate to the location of your image.

  5. Highlight the image you want to upload and click Open. You may select an image of any extension type. The image appears on your page.

  6. To replace the image, click the image once to re-display the file system dialog.

  7. Add a title for the image in the empty box, if desired. If you choose not to, the image appears alone on the page.
